Fishing off the boat
Fishing is a way of life aboard the Pelican. You’re either catching it, releasing it, eating it or all of the above – and it can be as relaxed or exciting as you please. Lazily cast a line off the side of the boat or trawl between anchorages luring Yellowfin, Wahoo, Mackerel, Dorado, Tuna and Giant Trevally. Catch your own lunch and our chef will fillet it on the spot for the freshest sashimi you’ve ever tasted. Or catch your own dinner and enjoy an al fresco seafood experience that you will never ever forget.
With 4 trawling rods and reels, as well as all basic tackle on board, you have everything you need to start your very own tale about how big that fish really was. For any specialised equipment, please feel free to bring your own gear along.

Fishing the drop-offs
If fishing is something you take quite seriously and you’re up for more of a challenge, we also have a smaller, specialized fishing boat that can be booked as an add-on to your charter. This vessel takes you from where Pelican is anchored to the deep sea drop-offs where you will find some of the world’s best game fishing.

This arrangement works particularly well when there are avid fishermen in your holiday party who wish to maximize on their Seychelles experience. The smaller craft takes the fishermen to the drop-offs for the day, while the rest of the gang spends leisure time on Pelican or explores the tropical beaches nearby.

Please note:
This offering is an add-on to the regular Pelican charter and must be booked a month in advance to allow for planning. Each day trip includes an experienced fishing guide, a packed lunch for each person, as well as beers and soft drinks.
